The Nintendo Switch has been dominating the market since its release for the go to handheld in the gaming industry. Nintendo is not new to the party when it comes to handhelds. With that being said, Nintendo announced its "Nintendo Switch Online" gaming service that opened up a variety of older consoles gaming from SNES to now the GBA line. Unfor, there is still a lot of games not offered but only a select few from each console.

Metroid Fusion Summary:

Metroid Fusion is an action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance in 2002. It was developed by Nintendo Research & Development 1, which had developed the previous Metroid game, Super Metroid (1994). Players control the bounty hunter Samus Aran, who investigates a space station infected with shapeshifting parasites known as X.

Like previous Metroid games, Fusion is a side-scrolling game with platform jumping, shooting, and puzzle elements. It introduces mission-based progression that guides the player through certain areas. It was released the day before the GameCube game Metroid Prime in North America; both games can be linked using the GameCube – Game Boy Advance link cable to unlock additional content for Prime.

This upcoming week we will finally get the anticipated Metroid: Fusion. This Metroid game happens to be the predecessor to the recently released Metroid Dread. The hope is for player that have no currently played Dread or other Metroid games may open the possibly to bring new players to the Metroid line up. Also, Nintendo has remasters the original GameCube Metroid game: Metroid Prime.

The Metroid line up is one that sits close the hearts of GBA fans alike such as myself from Zero Mission to Fusion and the newest releases to Switch: Metroid Dread. Our only hope can be that Nintendo releases more GBA games to come as the GBA was a huge success for the company and may strike more gamers to come back an play those loved but not forgot GBA games.
